Order & Shipping Policies
What happens when I place an order?
When an order is placed it can take anywhere between 5-10 days to process depending on available inventory as well as schedule. I'm a one-woman show at the moment with a full time job as an English Professor, so it takes me a few days to make sure orders are perfect for shipping out.
I always shoot for the quickest turnaround possible and typically process orders on Mondays & Thursdays and mail out the next day. So, once your order has been processed, please know that I will mail it out ASAP.
What about custom orders?
Customs take more time and more conferencing. You'll need to place an initial order through my website with a down payment that covers my base design cost, to which, after, you will get a direct email from me within a day or so that outlines everything you need to know. I will also send you a form that you'll need to fill out so I can get started.
Custom orders take anywhere between 2-3 weeks to get done depending on the design and order queue. But I try to be as communicative as possible about the turnaround time and will keep you updated on your order status.
Customs are handled first on this site, and then finished off site through direct payment. So, if you would like more information about that, feel free to reach out to me.
What are the shipping costs & times?
Standard shipping costs a flat rate of $3 on orders below $40. The usual shipping time via UPS or USPS is 2-5 days and you're able to follow your order via the SHOP app with tracking.
Expedited shipping costs a flat rate of $7 on orders below $40 and usually ships in 1-3 days via UPS or USPS with tracking.
I do not currently offer international shipping. However, I am hoping to in the future.
What happens if an order is lost or damaged?
First off, know that if you're unhappy, I'm unhappy.
The sad reality is that Covid-19 has impacted postal services across the nation, so at the moment there is no way I can truly guarantee what happens after the package leaves my hands. However, I do monitor all orders closely and if ever there is an issue with an order or the mail carrier has lost it, I will replace your lost items or refund you your money entirely.
If an item reaches you and it is damaged or was mishandled, please email me right away so that I can either mail you a replacement or refund you your money.
My main concern is that you are happy with your experience at alaala.ko. I got into this business to share good memories not create bad ones. So, if ever there is an issue please reach out to me so that we can work it out together.
